Mail tools
Programs that sync, send, fetch or index mail for terminal clients.
- Sync: isync and OfflineIMAP keep an IMAP server and local Maildir folders in step, in both directions, so clients like alot, mu4e and mblaze can read mail offline.
- Fetch: getmail6 downloads new mail over POP3 or IMAP into Maildir or mbox.
- Send: msmtp hands outgoing mail to an SMTP server for clients that only write files or call sendmail.
- Index and search: notmuch tags and searches a local mail store.
- Set up: mutt-wizard writes the NeoMutt, isync and msmtp configs for an account.
